Anesthesia Courses

H. William Gottschalk, D.D.S. and Kenneth K. Lee, D.D.S. of the Solis Surgical Arts Center in Sherman Oaks, proudly offer their experience during anesthesia courses. If you are seeking broader dental knowledge, we suggest these classes.

The more a dentist understand the importance of helping his or her patients feel comfortable while in your care, the better the service that oral practitioner can provide.

Anesthesia Courses

Below are three types of dental services that are covered during Drs. Gottschalk and Lee's courses:

Oral sedation -

This type of relaxation, which consists of giving a pill to a patient, is suggested for those who are mildly nervous. A weekend of training will prepare you for all that is associated with oral sedation.

IV sedation -

For patients who suffer greatly from dental anxieties, IV sedation (intravenous) may be the best way to calm their nerves. Courses offered by our dentists can qualify professionals to be an IV administrator.

General anesthesia -

This is the only type of anesthesia through which a patient is completely asleep. General anesthesia seminars, in addition to a residency in anesthesiology and periodic on-site inspections, are all required for a permit.

It is important that a dental professional take the necessary steps to become qualified to administer anesthesia. This is a service provided to patients, so the proper schooling must be completed before it can be offered at a dentist's practice.
