Dr. Gottschalk has been in the active practice of general dentistry since 1981. After completing a medical anesthesiology residency, he has combined his skills in dentistry and anesthesia to provide dental care under sedation and anesthesia for a wide variety of procedures and types of patients for over 21 years. What this can mean for you is that you do not have to shuttle between multiple offices to receive multidisciplinary, specialty care. All you have to do is go to one office.
In addition to post dental-school residencies, Dr. Gottschalk has completed hundreds of hours of continuing education in all of the dental specialties so that you can receive the highest level of comprehensive care.
His goal is to think young as he gets older. Dr. Gottschalk's practice of dentistry and anesthesia are nothing like he was originally trained. He uses the latest techniques, materials, and medications combined with time test procedures. You get the best of both worlds; the best results that are predictable and reproducible.
Dr. Gottschalk does have a life outside of the practice. Over 20 years of marriage to his wife, Patty has resulted in his three sons who are college and high school age. His interests include; photography, computers, cycling, restoring automobiles, motorcycles, and watching his sons play football.
Dr. Kenneth Lee is a graduate of the University of Southern California School of Dentistry. He received his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree in 1989, graduating 3rd in his class. He received the prestigious Fixed Prosthodontics Award for his excellence in restorative dentistry. During his dental school education, Dr. Lee was also selected by world renowned educator Stanley F. Malamed, in a special 2 year program that trained him in intravenous sedation. While in this program, Dr. Lee was also responsible for teaching local anesthesia, nitrous oxide sedation and CPR to fellow dental students.
Upon receiving his D.D.S. degree, Dr. Lee entered the general anesthesia residency program at Loma Linda University Medical Center. After extensive training in the operating rooms of the dental surgery center and the hospital, he received his certificate in anesthesiology in 1990.
Dr. Lee is one of only a select few general dentists in the United States that is designated as a dentist-anesthesiologist. He is a fellow of the American Dental Society of Anesthesiology and is a diplomate of the National Dental Board of Anesthesiology. He is currently an assistant associate professor at the U.S.C. School of Dentistry and teaches I.V. sedation to dentists from throughout the world. He also is co-director of Advanced Anesthesia Seminars, where he teaches general dentists, periodontists, and oral surgeons advanced IV sedation, airway management, and emergency anesthesia protocol.
Dr. Lee advances his knowledge by taking continuing education with the most prominent authorities in their fields. He is currently a member of the California Dental Association, American Dental Association, American Dental Society of Anesthesiology and American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry He has completed advanced seminars in esthetic dentistry, implant dentistry and comprehensive patient treatment from world renowned educators. Dr. Lee strives to bring the most advanced knowledge and techniques in comprehensive dental care to his patients. He has a passion for the comprehensive, esthetic restoration of dental patients that require sedation and anesthesia. He has treated thousands of patients under IV sedation and general anesthesia.
Together with Dr. William Gottschalk, they have the premier sleep and sedation dental practice in the nation.
